About AAA
American Automobile Association, or AAA or Tripple A, is a privately held not-for-profit national member association and service organization with over 60 million members in the United States and Canada.
Retirement Application Re-design
AAA provides services to its members, including roadside assistance and others. My position as an interaction designer I was brought on to the project to redesign their internal insurance application. I designed and developed the insurance internal application for ‘brick and mortar’ sites that use the AAA application to process customer memberships, insurance and additional services.
The Approach

Worked in an Agile software project (Java environment) process management environment with 100+ userstories and multiple epics across different projects overseeing design from inception to design, development to implementation for multiple digital services

Organized customer and stakeholder requirements by conducting interviews to define and clarify each project’s vision, limitations, and paths to success

Worked with UI developers to establish the company’s dynamic style guide, using Axure to manage all conceptual modeling, documentation standards to be utilized by multiple platforms

Lead the creation of wireframes, user personas, detailed storyboards, scripted scenarios, flow charts, functional prototypes for user testing, and interaction design specifications using HTML5, JavaScript, Bootstrap (v3), and CSS

Analyzed and documented user requirement specifications, information architecture and interaction goals to manage expectation

Lead the requirements gathering and documenting required for user testing, in the field and online, for digital software applications using various platforms

Designed components used throughout all web assets

Lead discovery, planning and research identifying and documenting user types, user stories and usability testing and validation

Created user requirements and functional requirements to validate user goals and task flows
The Result
AAA launched their updated insurance application across the nation which increased customer service for both their insurance customers and their insurance locations for America and Canada.
Detail wireframes were developed to show the applications interaction design.
